Armorial Bearings of Hyndburn Borough Council
History of the Coat of Arms
The current armorial bearings adopted by Hyndburn Borough Council, are those created and designed by H Ellis Tomlinson M.A., F.H.S., in 1975.
The Council agreed in 1975 that applications for the use of the Coat of Arms and Badge should be made in writing to the Chief Executive indicating the purpose for which it is required and that all applications for use of the Coat of Arms and Badge should be dealt with by the former Policy and Resources Committee.
