The safety of our Community is a primary concern for the Council. Our Borough is now safer than ever as levels of crime have consistently reduced. A contributing factor to this reduction is the CCTV monitoring system we have in place.
We have cameras placed in key strategic locations in the Borough that monitor activity 24/7 and 365 days per year. The cameras help to solve and deter crime and prevent serious disturbances from occurring by acting swiftly. We also help customers by identifying incidents that give rise to further action e.g. damage to cars and property.
