Great Harwood Regeneration Partnership Action For Great Harwood

Published Tuesday 20th July 2010 in Community and living news

The Great Harwood Regeneration Partnership has today issued for consultation its draft 2010-2013 Action Plan.

The Plan outlines the intended activities of the Partnership over the course of the next 3 years.

Residents, businesses and town centre users are invited to express their views about the plan by the 31 August 2010.

John Duckworth, local resident and Chair of the Partnership said, "The Partnership was originally proposed within the Councils 2006 Regeneration Plan, since that time the partnership has gone from strength to strength, and delivered some important changes.  The Partnership allows the Council and local residents to work together in a constructive manner, which has benefited considerably all those involved, but most importantly the town centre itself.  I'm delighted that the Partnership is able to issue its own Town Centre Action Plan, hopefully the first of many.  I hope that people will take the time to read the Plan, which contains many valuable proposals, and respond with their own ideas accordingly.  The involvement of local residents is very important to ensure that the Partnership is achieving its aims and objectives, and moving forward in the right direction".

Copies of the consultation document are available from the Great Harwood library or download draft action plan.
