Mayor To Attempt Record For Macmillan

Hyndburn's Mayor, Cllr Colette McCormack, is attempting to break the record for most number of coffee mornings attended in one day, to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Macmillan Cancer Support is one of the Mayoral charities and as this year is the 21st Anniversary of the world's biggest coffee morning, Cllr McCormack is aiming to attend 21 coffee mornings, breaking last year's record, where the Town Mayor of Knutsford visited 16.
Cllr McCormack said;" We want to break the record to raise as much money as possible and we need to find at least 21 coffee mornings being held in Hyndburn. These can be in cafes, schools, businesses and private homes to name but a few places."
