Coronavirus information


Everyone aged 12 or over is able to get a Covid-19 Vaccination for free.

You can book an appointment using the the national booking system or attend a walk-in clinic, where no appointment is needed. You can find the nearest available walk-in clinic by following this link and entering your postcode.

Open Monday – Saturday 10am until 7pm, Sunday 11am – 5pm until further notice. All people welcome for their first, second or booster doses. Drive-thru or walk-in, no appointment needed. Open to age 12+.


Testing for people with no symptoms

RAPID coronavirus testing is now available to everyone in Lancashire, with people encouraged to test themselves twice a week. You can collect up to 2 packs of 7 tests from a local test site or pharmacy, find your closest here. You can order a pack of 7 tests for home delivery here.

You can also get tested in person at our test site in Accrington, no appointment is needed just turn up. This facility is for people with no symptoms and offers Lateral Flow testing. You can also ask your employer about workplace testing, more information can be found here.

Testing for people with symptoms

If you have have a temperature, continuous cough or change in your sense of smell or taste please get a test as soon as possible. Do not visit any places or meet others until you have your results.

We have two test sites in Hyndburn for people who are unwell. Great Harwood and Eastgate. You also have the option of having a test kit delivered to your house.

To help the community and prevent further spread the following measures are in place.

  • Face coverings are a legal requirement in shops and on public transport, unless exempt
  • You must self-isolate after a positive covid-19 test result
  • Those who have come into contact with an individual who may have been infected with the Omicron variant need to self-isolate. This will apply even if you are fully-vaccinated or aged 18 or under.
