Coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccination and tests

Everyone aged 16 or over is able to get a Covid-19 Vaccination for free. If you are 18 or over you can also get a second dose, 8 weeks after your first.

You can book an appointment using the the national booking system or attend a walk-in clinic, where no appointment is needed.

Walk-in vaccination clinics are open for first doses to everyone aged 16 or over. You can find the nearest available walk-in clinic by following this link and entering your postcode.



Testing for people with no symptoms

RAPID coronavirus testing is now available to everyone in Lancashire, with people encouraged to test themselves twice a week.

You can collect up to 2 packs of 7 tests from a local test site or pharmacy, find your closest here.

You can order a pack of 7 tests for home delivery here.

You can also get tested in person at our test site in Accrington, no appointment is needed just turn up. This facility is for people with no symptoms and offers Lateral Flow testing.

Available at Unit 4, Broadway, Accrington

Monday to Friday 9:30am – 3:30pm

Testing for people with symptoms

If you have have a temperature, continuous cough or change in your sense of smell or taste please get a test as soon as possible. Do not visit any places or meet others until you have your results.

In Lancashire it is also advised to get a test if you are feeling unwell, even if you do not have the ‘usual’ symptoms. More information can be found here.

We have two test sites in Hyndburn for people who are unwell. Great Harwood and Eastgate. You also have the option of having a test kit delivered to your house.
