Properties in Need of Major Repair – Former Class A Exemptions
From the 1 April 2013, those properties which fell under Class A exemption will incur a 50% charge for the first 12 months after which the full Council Tax will become payable.
The 12 month time period does not start again with the new charges in April 2013.
In addition to these charges, if the property remains empty for more than 2 years, an additional 50% premium will be applied and 150% of the Council Tax will be payable.
