Accrington’s Fantastical Forest Parade

August 25 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Accrington to wow spectators with gigantic puppets following 6 weeks of workshops

A spectacular parade is set to make this year’s August Bank Sunday one to remember. Adventure Hyndburn and the Handmade Parade have started working, via workshops, with individuals and local groups to create puppets and costumes all linked to the theme of the “Fantastical Forest”.

Both the Arts Council and Hyndburn Borough Council are supporting this initiative to bring something very different to Accrington. The centre piece of the parade will be a 15 foot Oaken Giant that will parade though the town. The parade will end with a spectacular finale in the town square.

Public fun workshops – for people of all ages to create costumes and props to be part of the Parade – no booking is required

Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult ;
