Town Crier competition
Saturday 25th October
Looking for an unusual way to spend a Saturday… go along to the FREE Town Crier Competition at Bank Mill House, Great Harwood on Saturday 25th October!
Several official Town Criers from around the country will be coming together come together in a friendly, judged competition to find the best performer on the day.
Each Crier will do two cries- the first is about on their home town, the second on a subject chosen by our very own home Crier Rawden Kerr. Cries are judged on Content of Cry, Volume and Clarity, Diction and Inflection, Confidence and bearing, and Accuracy. There are also points for Audience Favourite!
It is pageantry, it is history, it is entertainment!
This event will be held outdoors, unless the weather means it is moved inside Bank Mill House.
