If you have made a request for information the Council will usually say whether it holds the information, however, there are a number of exemptions which can be applied which may mean that the information is protected and can not be disclosed. If this is the case you will be informed.
Refusal of Requests
A request for information will only be refused for the following reasons:
- if it is a vexatious or repeated request
- if we ask you for more information in order to clarify your request and you do not provide it
- if it falls under an exemption
