Gambling Act 2005 ‘Statement of Principles’ Policy Review – Consultation

Under section 349 of the Gambling Act 2005 we are required as the Licensing Authority to produce a gambling ‘Statement of Principles’, which sets out how we have interpreted the Act and the basis on which decisions are to be made, at least every three years.

The existing Policy has been kept under review, and was last amended in January 2019.

As a result between 5 July 2021 and 27 September 2021 there is an opportunity to consult on the Council’s revised ‘Statement of Principles’ policy.

All responses must be submitted by close of business on September 27 2021.

To assist you in replying you can download a copy of the revised policy, the current policy, a summary of changes and a response form.

Hard copies of the Policy can be made available upon request by contacting licensing@hyndburnbc.gov.uk or writing to the address below.
