Civic Attendant
Salary: £20,444 – £22,129 (SCP 7 – 11) (pro rata)
Hours: 15 per week (no enhancements for weekend/evening work)
A job-share will be considered
 
An exciting opportunity has arisen to undertake the role of Civic Attendant within our Member Services Team.  The role will involve some working in the evenings and at weekends.

The key role is acting as the Mayor’s/Deputy Mayor’s Attendant at civic functions and chauffeuring the Mayor/Deputy Mayor to those functions.  You will be responsible for the safe and secure custody of the Civic Insignia and security of the Town Hall after certain events.

The successful applicant will possess excellent organisational and communication skills with a range of people and have confidence speaking in public.  The applicant will need to have confidence when driving and have good situational awareness, demonstrate knowledge of the democratic process within local government; and possess a high degree of probity.

This would be an excellent opportunity for an applicant with a flexible outlook wishing to provide the mainstay of support for the Council’s civic role..  You will be required to have a full driving licence and undertake a corporate driving assessment.
