Hyndburn Borough Council
Planning Enforcement Officer
£25,419 – £27,514 per annum
Essential car user allowance
37 hours per week
Hyndburn is a great place to work. Over recent years we’ve established an impressive reputation as a Council with a strong sense of direction and an enviable record for improving services and getting things done.
An opportunity has arisen for an exceptional candidate to work as the Council’s Planning Enforcement Officer working in the Development Control section. The candidate will ideally have planning experience in a development control environment (planning applications or enforcement), although candidates with experience of investigating breaches of control outside of a development control environment will also be considered.
This interesting and varied role will involve the investigation of breaches of planning control and making recommendations to the Chief Planning and Transportation Officer. The candidate will be expected to manage a high case load and should be able to give evidence in court. Excellent I.T, report writing, negotiation and organisational skills combined with initiative, common sense and an ability to communicate effectively at all levels is a must.
If you are as passionate about delivering results as we are, and if you want a job where you can be part of a team that’s making a real difference, we’d like to hear from you.
