Based at our Broadway Offices in Accrington, our Revenues team is responsible for the collection and administration of over £70million a year in local Council Tax and Business Rates.  This professional and inclusive team provides a first rate service to everyone in the Borough and we would like you to join our team.

We want you to help us to build upon the already successful service delivered through our Benefits, Revenues and Customer Contact department and Hyndburn’s status as an excellent Council.

We are recruiting Revenues Officers to deliver the administration of billing, collection and recovery of Council Tax and Business Rates innovatively and within legislation.  This role involves a high degree of accuracy, integrity and a commitment to public services and local government.

Knowledge and experience of Benefits and Revenues is desirable, as is working in a technical environment and experience of account management or debt collection; a comprehensive training plan will be delivered.

There may also be opportunity for successful candidates to obtain a professional qualification in this area of work.

You must be able to empathise and problem solve on behalf of customers, work in a busy environment, have the ability to understand and relay information and be willing to ‘go the extra mile’ for our customers.

Assessment for these posts will include an application form and interview.  If you are passionate about delivering results as we are, and if you want a challenging yet rewarding role delivering the highest levels of customer service, this is the job for you.
