Councillors and Hyndburn Council staff were invited to attend an information event hosted by 1st Call, Onward Homes, in Accrington Arndale Centre last week.
During the event visitors were given an insight into the work and services available and plans for the future including expanding reach and growing as an organisation.

1st Call, Onward Homes, can help with a range of things such as employment or financial support, housing and signposting to appropriate services. The Accrington-based shop is open and available for people to drop in for help and advice.
Jill Stazicker, Team Leader at 1st Call, Onward Homes, said:

1st Call in the Arndale in Accrington is open for telephone and face-to-face appointments.
The team can provide tailored 1-2-1 support to residents living in Lancashire, giving an opportunity to engage in a range of activities that will help improve overall health and wellbeing and provide support with issues such as employment support, financial advice, housing needs, accessing training and volunteering roles, and advice on other external organisations that can offer support and guidance.
1st Call take a holistic approach when supporting customers. They are very flexible and work on a drop-in basis, although are happy to book appointments for more complex support needs.
Opening times:
- 10.00 – 15.00 on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (Closed between 12.30 – 13.00 for lunch)
- 10.00 – 14.00 on Wednesday
