Annual Canvass

Every household in Hyndburn will be sent a form as part of the reformed Annual Canvass, from 15th July 2021. This is a yearly process to gather information for the Electoral Register. 

The form will either state that you must respond or that you only need to respond if there is a change in occupancy information. If you are asked to respond, it is illegal not to do so even if you do not wish to vote.  

Applying for credit, mortgages, bank accounts, mobile phones, or even checking your credit score becomes easier once you’ve been added to the Electoral Register. 

 There are three different ways to respond to the form:  

-Visit www.householdresponses.com/hyndburn and enter the 2 security codes from the form.   

-Call 08001979871 and when prompted enter the 2 security codes from the form. 

-Text NOCHANGE followed by the security codes on the form to 80212. 

 

 All new electors will need to complete a personal application form. You can do so by going to www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
