Cllr. Kathleen Pratt, mayor of Hyndburn, joined guests and supporters at a race evening to raise money for local charities.
The night was hosted at Accrington’s Tiger Lounge venue and attended by members of the Mayor’s charity committee.
Cllr. Pratt’s chosen charities for her Mayoral year include Pioneer Swimming Club, Rosemere Charity, the RNLI and Community Solutions North West.
Commenting on the evening’s success, the Mayor said:
“Now that venues are able to open safely and welcome groups of people once more, I was proud to hold this charity race evening to help several wonderful local causes.
“I’d like to offer thanks to the staff at Tiger Lounge, to everyone who attended on the night and of course to all those who donated so generously.
“With events like these, we can continue to raise awareness and support for these worthy organisations that do so much to improve the lives of people in our borough.”
