Comedy club nights at Accrington Town Hall

GET UP & STAND UP with Accrington Town Hall and the Frog & Bucket Comedy Club, starting on Friday 5th November.

In conjunction with Hyndburn Council – these comedy nights will be held on the 1st Friday of each month until February.

Join us in Accrington’s most iconic venue for cutting-edge comedy from four of the best comedians on the UK stand up scene, including:

  • Phil Ellis – Your MC for the first Accrington Town Hall comedy night – an award-winning comedian who has entertained audiences of all ages with his off-beat observational material and physical comedy. He won the Fosters Edinburgh Comedy Award’s Panel prize in 2014 with his hit show ‘Funz and Gamez’ and has also written and starred in three series of his radio sitcom ‘Phil Ellis Is Trying’ (BBC Radio 4), with a cast including Lolly Adefope, Johnny Vegas, Sean Lock and Lee Mack.
  • Steve Harris – Named ‘North West comedian of the year’, as well as making the finals of both the BBC New Comedy Awards and So You Think You’re Funny, Steve has supported big names like Johnny Vegas, Peter Kay and Lee Evans – so comes highly recommended from the heavyweights of comedy. He has a warm nature paired with the comedic ability to sort out heckles and keep any audience entertained.
  • Andrew Ryan – Has appeared on many TV shows in UK & Ireland and performed stand-up on BBC3’s Russell Howard’s Good News, Best of The Edinburgh Festival Live on BBC3, The Blame Game on BBC1, Live At The Comedy Store for Comedy Central, Live for Mind on Comedy Central, The Six O’Clock Show on TV3 (Ireland).
  • Daisy Earl – Winner of ‘ Scottish Comedian of The Year’ and Chortle’s ‘Best Newcomer’, Daisy tackles some of the sources of her dissatisfaction as a 30-something. Like why isn’t she thinner, more successful and blonde? And why does that cow on Instagram have it all? Well, this year is going to be different. A Bounty isn’t one of your five a day, get sober, stop crying in public, and for God’s sake get a boyfriend!
