Following on from a series of successful events already this year, including the launch of Shy Burhan’s photography exhibition ‘Women in Uniform’ on International Women’s Day, Haworth Art Gallery are thrilled to announce their full programme of free events and activities for Spring 2023. From family arts and crafts to the favourite Tiffany Trail to a Coronation Community Day, these events are suitable for all ages and will appeal to the whole family!
Gillian Berry, Arts and Heritage Manager for Haworth Art Gallery, said:
“It is always such a pleasure to see families from around the local area taking part in our events and activities – it is so encouraging to see so many new faces with each passing season! We always strive to make sure that there is something for everyone to enjoy, and this Easter half-term is no different. Remember, all events are free, so it is the perfect opportunity to get stuck into something new and take a browse at the rest of the gallery whilst you’re here.”
Haworth Art Gallery kickstarted the action with the successful launch of brand-new exhibition ‘Behind the Mask’. Exhibited in partnership with Understanding Autism North West (UANW), this exhibition is an opportunity for visitors to engage with the artistic talents of people of Lancashire who are on the Autism Spectrum, all of whom have been supported by UANW. It will be available for all to visit until 30 April 2023 during gallery opening hours.
Following the successful launch and positive reception of Shy Burhan’s photography exhibition ‘Women in Uniform’, Haworth Art Gallery are proud to announce that their Spring programme of events will get underway with a networking and connecting event on the 30 April 2023 between 1:00pm and 4:00pm for Shy’s exhibition. This will also be followed by an exciting Community Coronation Day on Saturday 7 May 2023 between 12noon and 4:00pm to welcome the reign of HM King Charles III.
Easter Art Club will once again be returning this Easter Half term to offer self-led crafts and a chance to take part in the Tiffany trail. Learn more about Haworth Art gallery and see if you can find the special objects in each room!
The much-loved Family Art Club – a series of family-friendly activities available every alternate Sunday – will also be continuing throughout Spring 2023. These are great self-guided sessions that you can engage with at your own pace, with something available for everyone! The activities are suitable for all aged 2 upwards, and booking is not required for any of these sessions so please feel free to just turn up.
