When winter walks become a chore, we need a reminder to get outside and explore!
January is National walk your dog month and Hyndburn has some fantastic walks, local parks and beautiful outdoor spaces to discover.

Countryside and woodlands in Hyndburn:
There are 3 Local Nature Reserves (LNR’s) in Hyndburn, 2 of these being the biggest in the whole of Lancashire! These include Peel Park & the Coppice LNR and Woodnook Vale LNR in Accrington. Church (town) is also the mid-point of the Leeds to Liverpool Canal. There are many more areas to explore including Foxhill Bank LNR, Clayton Forest Park, Jack House and Spout House woodlands.

Whether you are new to walking, or are more experienced, prospects have you covered
They range from:
shorter walks of 2-3 miles
medium walks 3-6 miles
longer walks of 7-10+ miles
Covering smooth, easy, moderate, and rough terrains
