Lancashire Day, 27 November, is the county day of historic Lancashire in England. On this day, in 1295,  Lancashire first sent representatives to Parliament to attend the Model Parliament of King Edward I.

Cllr Miles Parkinson OBE, Leader of Hyndburn Borough Council said:

“Today we are reminded of our wonderful heritage. It is a day to celebrate the achievements and culture of the County. Although events cannot happen how they did in previous years, the team at Marketing Lancashire are dedicating their social media channels to all things Lancashire today and I would like to encourage everyone to join in, use the hashtag #LancashireDay and take this opportunity to support some of the businesses we have on our doorstep!

“We have a new great resource for shopping in Hyndburn, please take a look and use it as your local guide for services and products. Share it with your friends and family, let’s spread the word!”
