Happy New Year to everyone in Hyndburn and I hope all who celebrated had a Merry Christmas. Although we are still battling the pandemic and navigating our way through I am hopeful for a fantastic 2022. There is a lot to look forward to and many planned things that will help Hyndburn have a bright future.

Our Town Centre Investment Plan for Accrington has been released and we are asking for people’s views on it. This has been created over many months through working in partnership with our community. We will be using this new vision for the future to bid for large amounts of funding and invite investment into Accrington, to transform it for future generations into a bustling and thriving market town. It is time for Hyndburn to level-up and we will be keeping our heritage at the heart of this.

2022 is also the year of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. In Hyndburn we are going to be supporting the national events and activities in June and work with our community to make sure everyone can celebrate and enjoy this fantastic achievement.

Throughout the year there will also be several community events for people to enjoy. The line-up will be announced in the coming months and there is something for everyone to take part in. Please remember to keep supporting Hyndburn whenever possible, shop local, use local services and keep following the guidelines to help our healthcare services this winter.
