MESSAGE OF THANKS TO VOLUNTEERS:

From Miles Parkinson OBE, Leader of Hyndburn Borough Council, Sara Britcliffe, MP for Hyndburn and Haslingden and Marlene Haworth, Leader of the Opposition

In Hyndburn’s time of need you have volunteered your services and stepped up for our community. On behalf of Hyndburn we offer thanks and recognition for your commitment to helping others during this global crisis.

Over 90,000 meals have been provided and thousands of people in our community supported via the Hyndburn Hub, which now encompasses over 40 organisations and groups. This would not have been possible without people like yourself, dedicating time and energy for others.

Our community has shown great unity throughout the last few months and we are certain this will continue, ensuring Hyndburn can rebuild after the threat of Covid-19 has gone.

By being part of the Hyndburn Hub, you are part of a nationwide initiative which will not only help our most vulnerable people through this crisis, but also save lives. Yours and your teams’ selfless actions will live long in the memory and will be a legacy for the future of the whole Hyndburn community.

Keep safe,

Miles Parkinson OBE, Leader of Hyndburn Council, Sara Britcliffe, MP for Hyndburn and Haslingden, Marlene Haworth, Leader of the Opposition
