Councillor Steven Smithson, Portfolio Holder for Environment, said:

“This brand-new guide to recycling and waste collections has lots of hints and tips about how to properly dispose of your waste. I am encouraging everyone to read it and keep hold of the guide so you can refer to it when needed.

“One of my priorities is to tackle fly-tipping and littering in our borough, which I know is a concern for people. Our enforcement team will be working to prevent illegal waste disposal and take action against those who continue to blight our borough.”

Councillor Caroline Montague, Green Ambassador for Hyndburn, said:

“Through working together, properly disposing of our waste and also reducing our consumption we can help our local environment to thrive. Following the guidelines will mean less pollution, cleaner streets and more recycling taking place.

“Your efforts can help our waterways and support a more sustainable lifestyle too. We have lots of wonderful green spaces and places to enjoy across Hyndburn, let’s work together to keep them litter free.“
