In just 2 days sixty children have taken part in the free Squirrel Hunt inside Accrington Market.

Organised by the market team, with traders also taking part, the activity pack and Squirrel Hunt has been a welcome addition this summer.

Sameena King, Accrington Market Manager, said:

“It has been wonderful to see so many families, some who have never been to the market before, enjoying exploring the building and having fun.

“We have had some brilliant squirrel designs submitted and have been really impressed that some people managed to find all ten squirrels we have hidden! All returned Squirrel Hunt forms will also be entered into a prize draw, winner to be announced at the end of the summer.”

Families are invited to collect their free activity pack from the market office, which is at the top of the rainbow stairs and journey around the historic market hall to complete the hunt for squirrels and acorns. The Squirrel Hunt is running 10am-2pm every day except Wednesdays and Sundays until September.
