Tiger teams up with local Butchers to #ThinkHyndburn and shop local

The #ThinkHyndburn campaign has been encouraging people to use their high streets and shop locally in a bid to help the economy recover after a difficult year.

Two local businesses, Tiger Lounge and Sanderson’s Butchers have taken this initiative to the next level and are proud to announce their new partnership. Sanderson’s Butchers now supply locally sourced meat for the Tiger Lounge restaurant menu, which has been a huge hit with the chefs and customers.

Cllr Miles Parkinson OBE, Leader of Hyndburn Borough Council said:

“It is fantastic to see Hyndburn businesses getting on board with the #ThinkHyndburn campaign and supporting each other. Not only are they both sourcing items locally and giving back to the community but are also providing high quality fresh items for customers. Well done to Tiger Lounge and Sanderson’s Butchers!”

Damian from Tiger Lounge, based in Accrington, said:

“During Covid we took the opportunity to really asses where we buy our products from and homed in on the council’s shop local. We struck a great partnership with Sanderson’s butchers just up the road in Baxenden and they now supply all our meat other than fish on our menu… I’d encourage any other businesses in the area to pick up the phone, ring local suppliers, shop local.”

George, owner of Sanderson’s Butchers added:

“We are proud to support local farmers, we buy all the meat, all the veg and all the bread from local businesses and farmers. Keeping all the money and the trade in the borough.”
