Local Restrictions Support Grant (Closed)

Local Restriction Support Grants:

(Closed Businesses 02 December 2020 to 16 December 2020)

Hyndburn was placed in Tier 3 (Very High Alert level) which imposes restrictions on local businesses from Wednesday 02 December 2020 to Wednesday 16 December 2020. The Local Restriction Support Grant (LRSG) is a financial package for businesses which have been forced to close.

The financial support will apply to business forced to close from Wednesday 02 December 2020 to Wednesday 16 December 2020

The Local Restriction Support Grant (Closed) will provide financial assistance and support to businesses which would have been open, providing in person services to customers from their business premises and then required to close for a consecutive period of 2 weeks or more in accordance with The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (All Tiers) (England) Regulations 2020.

The amount to be paid will be determined by the rateable value of the property for business rates purposes. There are 3 rates of grant payments as detailed below:-

• • RV under £15,000 –                                    £667 every two weeks
  • RV between £15,000 and £51,000          £1,000 every two weeks
  • RV over £51,000                                         £1,500 every two weeks

Payments to eligible businesses will be made every two weeks provided the conditions of the grant continues to be met and the business confirms no changes in their circumstances. The scheme will operate in accordance with Government guidelines and funding availability.

Businesses which were forced to close by Government in Tier 3 include those detailed below:

• Pubs and Bars
• Cafes
• Restaurants
• Adult gaming centres and arcades
• Indoor Soft play areas, and Trampolining Parks
• Hotels, B&Bs, and Guest Houses
• Cinemas
• Theatres
• Snooker Halls
• Conference Centres, and Exhibition Halls.

Applications for Tier 3 of the Local Restriction Support Grant (Closed) opens from Monday 07 December 2020 and closes on Monday 21 December 2020, all the information needed to apply is on our website with the online form available 24 hours a day.

The application form incorporates a section around “wet-led” pubs that must be completed to receive a grant of £1000.
