 APPLICATION FOR THE REVIEW OF A PREMISES LICENCE

Hyndburn Borough Council as the relevant licensing authority, pursuant to sections 3 and 12 of the Licensing Act 2003, hereby GIVE NOTICE that it has received an application for review of a premises licence in respect of the premises known as

Dodge Nightclub, 48 Warner Street, Accrington

 Any person or responsible authority may make representations in respect of the application which must be provided, in writing, to the Licensing Section, Hyndburn Borough Council, Scaitcliffe House, Ormerod Street, Accrington, BB5 0PF.  Such representations must be received by the Licensing Section no later than 30 August 2024.

The grounds for review are that the licensing objectives relating to the prevention crime and disorder, public safety, the prevention of public nuisance and the protection of children from harm have not been promoted at the above-mentioned premises despite being given two improvement plans from Lancashire Police, one being on 3 February 2024 and one on 26 June 2024.

The register containing a record of the grounds for review may be inspected on Monday to Friday from 8.45 am to 5 pm at the above-mentioned address. Alternatively, it can be viewed on Hyndburn Borough Council’s internet website.

It is an offence to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with an application punishable with a maximum fine of £5000 on summary conviction.
