Submitting a Planning Application
Site Location Plans for Planning Applications
All planning applications need an up to date site location plan and a block plan (site plan) that shows the development location in more detail. The location plan should be at a scale of 1:1250 or 1:2500 and the site plan at either 1:200 or 1:500.
The Planning Portal fee includes the provision of a licenced map of the required quality. Please follow the guidance on the Planning Portal buy-a-planning-map page when drawing your location plans. Other providers can be found by using an online search engine.
Insert the electronic version of the map directly into an application on the Planning Portal or submit with the electronic version of the application or as a paper copy.
All location plans must show the OS licence number and we can’t accept location plans which are from the Land Registry or made using screen grabs.
