How can photos be submitted?

Photos can be uploaded to www.gov.uk if your application is made online. Guidance and an example photo will be available on the www.gov.uk website to help you provide an acceptable photo.

Photos will be rejected and you will be asked to upload an alternative photo they:-

  • do not meet the minimum pixel requirements; or
  • are in an incorrect file type;or
  • are in a file that is too big or too small

Photos will also be rejected if, we receive a hard copy photo with a paper application that is not of a sufficient quality to be scanned, or we receive a photo provided as an email attachment that:-

  • does not meet the minimum pixel requirements;
  • is in an incorrect file type;
  • is in a file that is too big or too small

We will ask you to provide a different photo of better quality and/or a photo which complies with the requirements above.

We will not be able to progress your application until an acceptable photograph has been provided.
