How will I receive my VAC and what will it contain?

Once your application has been approved, your VAC card will be posted to your address.

The VAC will include:-

  • your full name;
  • the photograph you provided;
  • the date of issue;
  • an individual identifier;
  • the words ‘issued by the Electoral Registration Officer appointed by Hyndburn Borough Council’;
  • the renewal date;
  • one or more security features recommended by the Home Secretary

Please note:-

We may issue a temporary VAC if:-

  • we have determined your application for a permanent VAC after the application deadline (i.e after 5pm, 6 working days before polling day) but before polling day; and
  • we do not think the VAC will arrive in time for polling day.

You must collect a temporary VAC in person.
