What is Council Tax Support?

Council Tax Support was introduced in April 2013 as a local replacement of the national Council Tax Benefit scheme.

From April 2017, all working age claimants of Council Tax Support will pay a minimum of 30% of their Council Tax liability.

Council Tax Support can help to pay some or all of your Council Tax if you or your partner are on a low income and are eligible to pay council tax.
