Lancashire Day celebrations

Great Harwood Civic Society organise Lancashire Day celebrations every year at Churchfield House in Great Harwood. The Town Crier will do a toast to the King, the Duke of Lancaster, and some excellent Lancashire fare is provided.
It’s a day to remember just how big Lancashire was before the 1974 Local Government Reform Act – it stretched from the Furness Fells to the River Mersey.
