Meet the Mayor of Hyndburn
Councillor Josh Allen, was elected as Mayor of Hyndburn for the Municipal Year 2025-2026 at the Council’s AGM on Thursday 15th May 2025
Councillor Allen has served as a Borough Councillor in the Immanuel Ward of Oswaldtwistle since 2018. He takes great pleasure in serving as a Councillor here and is also a member of Licensing Committee, Special Overview and Scrutiny Committee and the Local Plan Working Group.
During his year in office the Mayor has chosen four charities to support: Accrington Community Events, Church and Oswaldtwistle British Legion, Andy’s Man Club and Oswaldtwistle Sea, Air and Army Cadets Groups.
Councillor Allen will be supported in his Mayoral year by his wife, Robyn Bradshaw-Allen, who will act as his Mayoress and Sheena Tyldesley who will also carry out duties as Mayoress.
