The Hyndburn Culture, Arts and Heritage Grant Programme 2025–26 is now open for applications, offering small grants to support a wide range of projects that celebrate local identity, build pride in place and bring people together through culture.

Funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, the scheme offers grants ranging from £150 to £10,000.

Cllr Whitehead commented:

“We are excited to launch this new fund to support the people of Hyndburn in celebrating our diverse culture and heritage. Whether it’s storytelling, music, exhibitions, festivals or workshops, we want to see creative ideas that bring our communities together and reflect what makes our borough special.”

Applications are welcome from community groups, charities, not-for-profit organisations, schools, artists, and businesses.

The fund will support a wide range of activity across Hyndburn, including:

  • Cultural and heritage events
  • Creative workshops and exhibitions
  • Storytelling, public art and oral history projects
  • Intergenerational and cross-cultural initiatives
  • Projects that develop creative skills or support local talent
  • Community-led use of local heritage spaces or themes

The programme aligns with the Council’s Culture and Heritage Strategy 2025–30 and encourages applications that help build audiences, develop creative talent, and connect contemporary culture with local heritage.

Applications close at midday on Monday 1 September 2025. Funded projects must be delivered by March 2026.
