Street naming and numbering is a legal function of the council to allocate house numbers and road names to new developments and property conversions. More information can be found in Hyndburn’s Street Naming and Numbering Policy

An approved plan must be submitted and should clearly show the road layout, plot layout and plot numbers, including the position of the building(s) and access points to individual properties.

Where developments include multiple floors or multiple occupancy (such as apartment buildings or office developments), copy floor layout plans must also be provided.
