Burning of Waste in Great Harwood – Air Pollution Monitoring

The attached report provides details of air quality monitoring conducted by Ricardo Energy & Environment for Hyndburn Borough Council between March and July 2017.

The aims of the programme were to monitor air pollution in the local area, due to there being an issue with the burning of unknown waste in the Meadow Street area of Great Harwood and to assess compliance with relevant national air quality objectives.

Automatic monitoring was carried out at a single location and monitored Particulate Matter (PM10, PM2.5 & PM1) and Total Suspended Particles (TSP).
