  • The Lancashire Funding Hub links business with funding providers.
  • Start-up loans provide government-backed, unsecured personal loans from £500 to £25,000 to start or grow a new business. They provide 12 months of free mentoring to successful loan recipients, as well as exclusive discounts on many business products, plus there is free support and guidance is available during the application process, to help write a business plan and create a cash flow forecast.
  • The British Business Bank provides financial advice and support as well as access to a wide range of external finance options ranging from loans through to equity finance.

  • AMRC North West is an advanced research centre is supporting Lancashire companies to better understand and explore how they can innovate and adopt cutting edge technologies, ranging from additive manufacturing through to robotics and low-carbon technologies into their operations.
  • NERIC – North of England Robotics Innovation Centre have limited places for high growth Lancashire based manufacturers looking to implement robotics or automation into their operations or processes. The support includes between 12-20 hours of funded consultancy to explore and scope potential solutions.   • Contact East Lancs Chamber of Commerce for support with the transition out of the single market and also to help explore global opportunities.
  • The Business Clinic provide help to explore and create the specific franchise model that will work around your business.
  • Manchester Law School’s commercial law clinic, provides support in general commercial areas, corporate law, intellectual property and on-contentious employment law.
  • The Prince’s Trust offers advice and support to young people aged 18-30, however a range of business plan templates and other resources are available.
  • gov.uk has a wide range of advice on setting up and growing your business
