Everyone is invited to celebrate Hyndburn’s vibrant community this July for the third ‘Connecting Cultures’ festival

Oak Hill Park, Accrington
Oak Hill Park will also be hosting a Luminarium with a variety of free bookable workshops on Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th (booking links at the end of this page).
On Saturday 25th July the park will be alive with a free family friendly festival including community stalls, music and entertainment.
Created by acclaimed artist Alan Parkinson, the spectacular inflatable sculpture has welcomed more than four million visitors worldwide, touring countries including Australia and the USA.
Getting to Oak Hill Park
A FREE heritage shuttle bus from Accrington Town Centre to Oak Hill Park is running from10am-4pm on Saturday 25th July, back and forth to the event. Find it on Accrington Town Square opposite Wetherspoons. Every 10-15 minutes.
The bus does not need to be pre-booked and everyone is welcome to hop on board!
People are encouraged to use public transport or walk where possible. On-street parking is very limited, and we ask visitors to be mindful of residents’ access and emergency vehicle access, if parking road-side.
Disabled ‘drop off’ and ‘pick up’ parking is available for blue badge holders only, this can be accessed by presenting a blue badge at the main gates on Manchester Road. There is also limited disabled on street parking on Manchester road, opposite the South Gate entrance.
People are also welcome to bring their own picnics to the event and there will be food stalls and seating available inside our marquee.
