Accrington Market Easter Trail

Join us for a special Easter Trail in Accrington town square, running from Saturday 28 March to Saturday 11 April. Organised by Hyndburn Borough Council, this family‑friendly event invites children under 12 and their families to explore the fantastic range of local traders based in the market cabins.
Children will receive a competition booklet—distributed through local schools—and can begin the hunt by visiting 15 participating market stalls, including Bramwells, Pet Mart, Medina Mobile, Bubble Star, Frances Perfumes and Sunglasses, Arthur Banks Tool Stall, E.A. Electrical T/A Fancy Goods, Illusion Ladies Wear, Essentials, Jass Workwear, Hoskin’s Cheese, Jass Jeans, Accrington Mobility and Furniture, Angie’s Happy Cluckers and Smiths Fresh Produce.
Each stall will have a unique stamp featuring a letter. Once all 15 letters are collected, plus a hidden letter displayed on the Accrington DOME window, participants must solve a fun Easter‑themed anagram. Completed booklets can then be posted into the entry boxes at any participating stall.
200 free Easter eggs will be given out on a first‑come, first‑served basis, and there are exciting prizes to be won, including a giant Easter bunny, a giant chocolate egg, and #ShopLocal cash prizes.
The trail also highlights the brilliant selection of products and fresh local produce available at the Accrington Market cabins, which remain open while the Market Hall undergoes renovation.
The celebrations continue on Easter Saturday (4 April) with two free funfair rides for children under 12, available from 10am to 2pm in the town square. Families are encouraged to enjoy the rides, take part in the trail, and support local traders throughout the Easter period.
