Community Involvement in the park
Community Solutions North West (CSNW) run a cafe at Elmfield Hall and take bookings for the rooms within Elmfield Hall for meetings and functions. Community Solutions provide a variety of services for the local community including training courses and support. There is a kitchen within the Hall to facilitate healthy eating classes and socialising in an informal environment. The old Council glasshouses and polytunnels in the restricted area behind Elmfield Hall are now used by groups such as the Sandy Lane Gardening Group, CSNW and Prospects Foundation for food growing and horticultural therapy.
The Park has been used to host a number of community festivals and events in recent years including ‘Go Scatty in Gatty’. Further information regarding arranging an event is here.
