Get a Team Together to Help You Out
Organising an event can and should be fun, but it is also hard work. To avoid the work falling to the same small group of dedicated people, encourage others to join you. This will give you the time to stand back and decide what still needs to be done. You may be surprised how much knowledge and experience is close to you that you can draw from. Meet regularly to assess how you are doing, and to give everyone the opportunity to have an input as part of the team.
