Documents to support your Housing Benefit and Council Tax support claim
To process your claim the Council will usually need to see evidence of the following abut you and any partner:
- Your identity
- Your national insurance number
- Your tenancy
- A full breakdown of the rent that you are charged and any services et that are included within your liability
- Your income
- Your capital or savings
Details of what to submit will be provided to you at the end of your e-claim.
Please note that most proofs can be provided electronically but proof of identity documents have to be originals.
