Accrington Market and, from April 2027, Accrington Town Hall are entering an exciting new chapter and Hyndburn Borough Council is recruiting a new hospitality and events team to help bring these venues to life.
These roles will support a vibrant programme of food, drink, entertainment, cultural activities and events, creating welcoming spaces that attract residents and visitors throughout the day and into the evening. As our venues develop, successful candidates may be required to work across both locations. The roles involve evening and weekend working on a rota basis and offer the opportunity to be part of something genuinely new and ambitious for Accrington.
This is a varied, customer-facing role providing hands-on support across all aspects of venue operations. We expect to include a number of apprenticeship roles within the team.
You could be serving customers at the bar, waiting on tables, supporting and setting up events, assisting with food preparation in the café, pot washing, handling transactions, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and helping to create a fantastic visitor experience.
Experience in hospitality, retail, food preparation, events or another customer-facing role would be an advantage, but we’re equally interested in people with the right attitude and potential. We’re looking to build a team with a mix of experience across aspects of the role.

As a Safety Critical role, you will be subject to drug and alcohol testing as part of our pre-employment checks. You will also be subject to testing at random intervals during the course of your employment.
