Built Heritage in Hyndburn
Conservation of the Borough’s special historic, archaeological, architectural and artistic interest is central to maintaining and enhancing the quality of the local environment. Heritage assets may be formally designated as listed buildings, scheduled ancient monuments or conservation areas. Others may have local heritage interest and be recognised as locally listed buildings or be included on the Historic Environment Record.
Hyndburn has 109 entries on the statutory list of buildings of special architectural or historic interest and one scheduled ancient monument.
