Council Awards Four New Small Grants from Cabinet Action Fund
Hyndburn Borough Council is delighted to announce the awarding of more grants to four local organisations as part of its Cabinet Action Fund, which was introduced earlier this year. This initiative aims to support community projects and enhance the quality of life for residents across the borough.
The following organisations have been awarded grants:
Huncoat Community Forum: £1000 for on street plant and hanging basket maintenance
Ghausia Rizvia Jamia Masjid: £1000 to encourage children into sports
Great Harwood Community Action Group: £125 to refurbish town centre noticeboards.
Oswaldtwistle St Mary’s FC: £835 to replace much needed equipment to support the club
Councillor Munsif Dad, Leader of the Council said:
“I am delighted to announce more grants being awarded to such deserving organisations. I’m especially excited that two of these grants well help young people become involved in sports locally.
The Cabinet Action Fund is all about supporting local initiatives that make a real difference to our residents’. We are committed to investing in our community and ensuring that these valuable projects receive the support they need.”
The Cabinet Action Fund, announced earlier this year, is a £20,000 budget dedicated to addressing community needs and supporting local service providers. This fund is part of the Council’s ongoing commitment to help local organisations who provide support for Hyndburn residents.
