Accrington Live: Free Easter Sunday Music Festival Supported by Council Grant

A new free music festival, Accrington Live, will take place on Easter Sunday (5 April) in the Tiger Lounge car park, offering a full day of live performances, local food, family entertainment and a fantastic community atmosphere.

The event, organised and hosted by the Tiger Lounge, is being delivered with support from Hyndburn Borough Council’s Culture and Heritage fund, which aims to encourage local creativity, widen access to cultural activities and bring residents together.

Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy a diverse lineup of live bands, street food traders, fully stocked bars, marquees and chill‑out areas, and a main stage providing continuous entertainment. The festival is designed to showcase local talent and offer a welcoming space for residents of all ages.

Acts include:

  • Zoltar – an amazing local band
  • The Staags – with feel-good live classics and crowd favourites
  • NRG-ALI – bringing ultimate dance anthems
  • The Ed Show Live – with all the biggest singalong hits
  • The Haze – an amazing local four piece band
  • Superchunx – high energy indie and party vibes
  • The Oasis Experience – massive headline finale with wall-to-wall anthems

In addition to the live music, families can also take part in a special Culture and Heritage Walk, offering an immersive way to learn about Accrington’s fascinating past. Hosted by Tracey Simmonds from The Acorn, the experience will begin with a short introductory talk at 12.30pm, before setting off on a guided walk through the town. Designed to be engaging and accessible for all ages, the walk will highlight key historical landmarks, uncover lesser‑known stories, and bring local heritage to life as part of the day’s celebrations.

Councillor Kimberley Whitehead, Deputy Leader of the Council and Portfolio Holder for Culture, Heritage and Sport said:

“Accrington Live is a fantastic example of how our Culture and Heritage Grant can help bring people together and celebrate the creativity we have within the borough. Free, inclusive events like this help strengthen community spirit, support local talent and give families something exciting to enjoy right on their doorstep. We’re delighted to support the organisers and look forward to seeing the town come alive on Easter Sunday.”

Event organiser Damian Cunliffe, Tiger Lounge, said:

“We’re thrilled to bring Accrington Live to the town. Our aim is to create a mini festival experience that everyone can enjoy, whether you’re here for the music, the food or just a great day out with friends and family. The support from Hyndburn Borough Council has made this possible, and we can’t wait to welcome the community for what promises to be a brilliant day.”

Accrington Live is open to all and free to attend. Residents are encouraged to come along, bring family and friends, and enjoy a memorable Easter celebration in the heart of the town.
