Hyndburn Borough Council Leader and Cabinet announced

Hyndburn Borough Council’s Leader and Cabinet for 2025/26 have been announced.

Councillor Munsif Dad, Ward Councillor for Springhill was formally re-appointed as Leader of the Council at the Council’s AGM on 15th May.

The Cabinet announced by Councillor Dad are:

  • Councillor Melissa Fisher, Deputy Leader and Portfolio Holder for Housing and Regeneration
  • Councillor Kimberley Whitehead, Deputy Leader and Portfolio Holder for Culture, Heritage and Arts
  • Councillor Clare Pritchard, Portfolio Holder for Transformation and Town Centres
  • Councillor Scott Brerton, Portfolio Holder for Business, Growth and Sustainability
  • Councillor Vanessa Alexander, Portfolio Holder for Resources and Council Operations
  • Councillor Stewart Eaves, Portfolio Holder for Environmental Services
  • Councillor Ethan Rawcliffe, Portfolio Holder for People and Communities

Councillor Munsif Dad said:

“I am honoured to be reappointed as Leader of the Council and proud to announce a Cabinet for 2025/26 that brings together a wealth of experience, commitment, and fresh ideas.

Each member of this team has demonstrated a commitment to serving our communities, and together we will work tirelessly to deliver real improvements across the borough.

This year will see the completion of some of our biggest projects, which the Cabinet members and I look forward to working with officers to deliver.
