Hyndburn Residents Invited to Shape the Future of Waste and Recycling Across Lancashire
Hyndburn Borough Council is urging residents to have their say in a major public consultation on a new waste strategy that will guide how rubbish and recycling services are delivered across Lancashire over the next ten years.
The Lancashire Waste Partnership has published its draft plan, “A Low Waste Lancashire 2026–2036,” which outlines a bold vision for waste collection, processing and disposal throughout the county. From Tuesday 30th June to Sunday 9th August, residents are invited to share their views on the proposed priorities, aims and actions, helping to shape a final strategy that reflects the needs and expectations of communities.
Getting involved is quick and straightforward. The online survey takes around ten minutes to complete, and all feedback will play a direct role in shaping the final version of the strategy, which is set to be published later in 2026. Residents can also read both a summary and the full draft document before taking part.
