Wilson Sports Village March 2025 Construction Update
Following their appointment to complete construction works at Wilson Sports Village, Universal Civils & Build have been working hard to progress construction at the site since January 2025 and build community links.
The on-site construction works are progressing well, with work already commencing on the roof, walls, and groundworks simultaneously. So far, work has developed on the following areas: external brickwork and cladding, roof stripping and repairs, new substation base, internal block walls and steel painting, pool slabs and preparation for tiling, and a new road formation.
This coming month, residents can expect that windows and cladding will be installed at the site, as well as the brickwork and roofing to be completed, and a new flood defence tank installed.
Universal Civils & Build are keen to work closely with the community throughout their time on this project, planning a series of site visits with local groups, as well as employing local bricklayers, joiners and labourers. They aim to deliver a high level of quality and safe working throughout the project, as well as keep residents informed regularly so that all can be a part of seeing the scheme come together.
