Accrington Crematorium
Intro
Accrington Crematorium is situated in the heart of Accrington Cemetery, Burnley Road, Accrington, BB5 6HA.
Due to its location, the surroundings of the crematorium are picturesque and tranquil. The road leading to the crematorium is lined with lime trees and flowers beds boasting beautiful flowers all year round with a spectacular display of bulbs in Spring.
The chapel is over 100 years old and due to it’s age and nature is an attractive building to hold services with high ceilings, beams and stained glass windows.
The Crematorium is available to everyone who wishes to use it and is currently used by families from Hyndburn, Rossendale, Ribble Valley, Pendle, Burnley, Blackburn and Bury.
Our services are deliberately set at 40 minute intervals to allow ample time to conduct a dignified service without compromise.
Cemetery and Crematorium office
The Cemetery and Crematorium office is situated at the main entrance to the cemetery and is open during weekdays. Contact the office on 01254 232 933.
Car Parking
The majority of the cemetery has vehicle access and there are two car-parks with designated disabled parking bays.
Toilets
The chapel has toilet facilities, there are also toilets available within the cemetery that are located near the Crematorium Chapel. These toilets are open Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm during the summer months, and Monday to Friday 8.00am to 3.00pm during the winter months.
Seating and water
There are areas of seating throughout the cemetery for visitors to sit and reflect and remember their loved ones. There are water taps and waste bins located throughout the cemetery.
